Constipation is a common issue often caused by poor dietary habits and excessive body heat. Yoga offers a natural remedy with no side effects. One effective asana for this problem is "Yoga Mudra," ideally performed in the morning between 6:00 and 6:40 AM. Drinking a glass of water before starting can enhance the benefits.
Steps for Yoga Mudra:
Starting Position: Sit straight with your back, neck, and head aligned. For best results, sit in "Padmasana" (Lotus pose) if possible. Clasp your hands behind your back, adjusting their height as needed when bending.
Left Bend:
- Take a deep breath and hold it while counting to 10.
- As you exhale, turn to the left and bend forward, aiming to touch your left knee with your chin.
- Hold the position and count to 5.
- Inhale and return to the starting position.
Right Bend:
- Exhale, turn to the right, and bend forward, aiming to touch your right knee with your chin.
- Hold the position and count to 5.
- Inhale and return to the starting position.
Center Bend:
- Exhale and bend forward, aiming to touch your crossed legs at the center with your chin.
- Hold the position and count to 5.
- Inhale and return to the starting position.
Repeat these steps 3 to 5 times, according to your comfort level.
